May 4th is celebrated as Star Wars Day because of a popular pun on the iconic phrase "May the Force be with you." The date was chosen because "May the 4th be with you" cleverly mimics the original phrase.

Time is running out!
The Shibboleth Identity Provider (IdP) version 4 and older versions are nearing their end-of-life dates. Specifically, Shibboleth IdP v3 reached its end-of-life on December 31, 2020, and v4 will reach end-of-life on September 1, 2024. After these dates, the Shibboleth Consortium will no longer provide security patches or releases for these versions.
Organisations still using these outdated versions are strongly urged to upgrade to the latest stable release, v5.0.0, to ensure ongoing security and support.
